Teen Behind the Wheel

The Teen Behind-the-Wheel program is designed for teens under 18 completing required behind-the-wheel training to earn a Virginia driver’s license. This package includes 14 total instructional periods with a DMV-licensed instructor.

Program Includes:

7 Driving Sessions (50 minutes each), including the final road skills test

7 Observation Sessions (50 minutes each)

Requirements:

Virginia state-approved Driver Education course

Learner’s Permit held for 9 months

45 hours of supervised driving completed

After online registration and payment, enrollment is confirmed and a certified instructor is assigned. The instructor contacts the student to arrange a flexible driving schedule. Upon completion of the 7 driving sessions, students receive a temporary license certificate valid for 6 months. The DMV mails the official Virginia driver’s license, and no DMV road test is required.
